Soft Pad Office Chair EA 217 by Vitra
Designed in 1958 these task chairs are amongst the most recognisable designs from Charles and Ray Eames. The models EA 217 and EA 219 are the office swivel chairs of the Soft Pad Group.
Elegant in appearance, they are particularly suited to management areas and the well-appointed office. Their tilt mechanism adapts to the user’s weight and is paired with softly upholstered cushions with fabric or leather covers in a plethora of colours for excellent comfort.

Backrest and seat in sewn-on cushions with polyurethane foam upholstery in fabric or leather.
Armrests & five star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in a deep black for a softer look.
Base equipped with hard castors for carpet or soft castors for hard floors. Castor covers in black for polished and black powder-coated base, with chrome-plated finish for chrome base.
Seat mechanism - adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position.
Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.
