Aluminium Office Chair EA 119 by Vitra
Designed in 1958 these task chairs are perhaps the most recognisable designs from Charles and Ray Eames, and rate amongst the great achievements in the design history of the 20th century.
The swivel-based models EA 117, EA 118 and EA 119 are designed for focused office working - equipped with a tilt mechanism that can be adjusted to the weight of the user, providing for optimum comfort. There are also three size variants as follows:
EA 117 medium-height back, wide seat
EA 118 medium-height back, narrower seat adapted for table working
EA 119 high backrest, wide seat
New frame colours - Chalk and Dark Bordeaux - and extended fabric options have been introduced to enhance the chairs’ aesthetic versatility. A summary of base options can be found here.

Seat and backrest in mesh fabric or upholstered with high-frequency welded horizontal ribbing in fabric or leather.
Armrests and four star swivel base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in a colour.
Glides for hard or soft floors.
